VEE DUB, VICTORIA, BC, STREET
Location – VIC WEST SKATEPARK – VICTORIA – BC
Date – June 8th
Victoria, BC is a melting pot of skateboard skill and style and has always had a great skateboard scene.
The original Vic West Skatepark (Nathan Gillespie Memorial Youth Park) was built in 1991. In 2001 there was a massive expansion to the small skatepark, and ever since then, the City of Victoria has helped support the scene by funding a large annual contest.
Curated by Jimmy Miller and supported by all the local shops, the VeeDub Skateboard Competition is a uniquely collaborative event. All contributors help shape the feel and flow of the day. After sixteen years of love and effort, based within a versatile skatepark environment, the competition is a positive showcase that is fine-tuned for all skaters young and old.
With a variety of past competitors such as James “Jamer” Lindsay (R.I.P.), Keegan Sauder, Matt Berger, and Una Farrar, it will be exciting to see who tests their skills at Victoria’s VeeDub this year and in the years to come!
Sanctioned by Canada Skateboard as a National Points earning event. Vee Dub competitors results will be included in the National Skateboard Ranking List.
