Canada Skateboard has been working hard to create an industry-leading education platform that provides coaches, clubs, camps and mentors the resources required to effectively educate newcomers to skateboarding, and we're so stoked to finally announce that the Tech Deck Start Pushing platform is officially live and available for public use.
This platform is a resource intended for anyone working with skateboarders through formalized clubs, camps, classes and programs, as well as through informal pop ups and events at your local skatepark. This platform is also a valuable resource for parents new to skateboarding who are looking to support their children through the learning process.
Start Pushing includes two modules, the first of which being skatepark etiquette and safety, and the second module being the fundamentals of skateboarding. These two modules should set you up with the foundations necessary to build a comprehensive learning curriculum and give you the tools to feel supported as a coach and mentor in your community. The platform is approved and recognized by the Coaches Association of Canada’s, meaning that completion of the Start Pushing program will accredit you as a qualified Canada Skateboard coach.
For a limited time, we're offering this resource at no charge. All you have to do is register as a member of Canada Skateboard through our 2M (previously Interpodia) platform. You can learn more about the program at https://startpushing.canadaskateboard.ca/
